IRK was premiered on the 19th of March 2026 at the Royal College of Music by the RCM Brass Ensemble, conducted by Amos Miller.

IRK is to irritate or annoy. This piece is a brass-gilded crash-out, some sort of wizz-bang burning of bridges. It’s a calamity in two minutes, chanting and “hooray”-ing at the beginning or end of some great frustration.
